The Freeman School of Business' Black History Month Campaign

The Freeman School's annual Black History Month Campaign celebrates Black students and alumni and encourages them to remain involved with the business school. In 2025, the month-long celebration culminated in Black Alumni Weekend, an event that brought alumni to campus for panel discussions, a marketplace featuring products from local vendors, the unveiling of a new mural, and tailgating festivities.

To support the Black History Month campaign, I wrote press releases, developed event advertising, conducted alumni interviews, and wrote feature stories celebrating successful alumni. My copy was then adapted for use on social media. The campaign was a success. Dozens of alumni attended the weekend's events and reconnected with the school.

Below you'll find the content that I created in support of the campaign, including announcements, LinkedIn and Instagram posts, and recaps.

The Freeman School of Business' Stewart Center Relaunch Campaign

In the fall of 2024, the Freeman School of Business at Tulane University announced the reorganization of the Stewart Center for Professional Development. To meet the demands of working professionals, the center....full-time MBA, Professional MBA, Executive MBA, and Online MBA program.

To support the center's relaunch and promote its programs, I created key messaging  which was disseminated on the Tulane website, as well as on LinkedIn and Instagram. To connect with prospective students and assist with lead generation, I wrote profiles of successful alumni and developed a student spotlight series, which was published on the school's news site and promoted on LinkedIn and Instagram.

In addition to my copy writing work, the relaunch campaign included online advertisements, events, and information sessions, which I shared in the monthly alumni newsletter.

Tulane Alumni Newsletters

At Tulane University, I am responsible for creating the Freeman Update newsletter, which is sent monthly to 34,000+ business school alumni.

To foster alumni engagement with the business school, the newsletter showcases new programs, faculty research, and alumni success stories. The newsletter also includes a calendar section to encourage alum to get involved with the school. Freeman Update currently has a 48% open rate, much better than the 26% industry average for alumni newsletters.

Below you’ll find examples of newsletters that I created using the iModules platform.
