Black History Month Campaign

Background
This month-long campaign celebrated the success of Black alumni while strengthening their connection to the university. Through networking opportunities, educational programming, and recreational activities, we built connections with alumni relations and encouraged their philanthropic support. The  campaign culminated with Black Alumni Weekend, which brought alumni to campus for panel discussions, a marketplace with local products, the unveiling of a new mural, and tailgating festivities.

My Role
I helped develop and execute a multi-channel strategy that included content marketing, social media marketing, and email marketing. Throughout the month, I created alumni profiles and press releases, which were published on the school’s news site. As part of the email marketing strategy, I included information about upcoming events in the alumni newsletter and shared registration links to drive conversions. I planned and scheduled content releases throughout the campaign, and my copy was adapted for social media marketing and  shared on Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook. 

Results
The Black History Month campaign engaged dozen of alumni and affiliates who attended events and pledged continuing support to the school. A feature story I wrote garnered over 500 likes on LinkedIn, increasing visibility and generating excitement for Black Alumni Weekend.

Stewart Center Relaunch Campaign

Background
In the fall of 2024, the Freeman School of Business at Tulane University reorganized and relaunched the Stewart Center for Professional Development to better meet the needs of working professionals. As part of the relaunch, the center expanded its programs programs to include a Full-Time MBA, a Professional MBA, an Executive MBA, and an Online MBA. The relaunch included a strategic marketing campaign to reintroduce the center to prospective students, generate admissions leads, and solidify the center's image as a standard-bearer in professional business education. 

My Role
To support the center's relaunch and promote its programs, I created key messaging disseminated on the Tulane website, LinkedIn and Instagram. To connect with prospective students and assist with lead generation, I wrote profiles of successful alumni and developed a student spotlight series, which was published on the school's news site and promoted social media. In addition to my copy writing work, the relaunch campaign included online advertisements, events, and information sessions, which I promoted in the monthly alumni newsletter.

Results
The campaign successfully reintroduced the Stewart Center brand to prospective students through engaging student-centered storytelling. Of particular note was the student spotlight series, whose 112% engagement rate indicated users were not simply viewing content once but were returning to share it with their networks. We strengthened the center's brand credibility by highlighting alumni success stories and celebrating student achievements.

Tulane Alumni Newsletter

At Tulane University, I am responsible for creating the Freeman Update newsletter, which is sent monthly to 34,000+ business school alumni.

To foster alumni engagement with the business school, the newsletter showcases new programs, faculty research, and alumni success stories. The newsletter also includes a calendar section to encourage alum to become involved with the school. Freeman Update currently has a 48% open rate, much better than the 26% industry average for alumni newsletters.
